Our Pets...
I became a distributor with Flint River Ranch in 2001
after adopting our first dog, Gracie, from Greater Ohio Boxer Rescue. I had heard that boxers were prone to cancer and wanted
to read up on any diet related preventative possibilities. This lead me to all kinds of info about what really is in commercial
pet foods and I was sickened. I happened upon a Flint River Ranch website and decided to try it. I couldn't wait for my first
order to arrive as I didn't want to feed my animals any more of the old food. I had always fed my kitties a well known brand
that many vets endorse and felt I was doing the right thing. Little did I know at the time that many vets, while excellent
in practicing medicine, do not get extensive training in the area of pet nutrition.
We have 3 cats, "Wesley", "Peanut",
and "Daisy". We lost our beloved 10 yr old tabby, "Tiger", of cancer in October 2001 and were just sorry that we didn't know
about FRR sooner. I believe that if he could have been on a healthy, human grade quality food sooner, this could have made
a difference in the outcome. We also unfortunately lost our diabetic cat, "Kitty" in October 2002. He actually did very well
for the year and a half after his diabetic diagnosis. He rarely had any diabetic related incidences and I attributed it mainly
to his healthful diet. Thankfully, "Wesley", "Peanut" and "Daisy" have been very healthy. "Gracie", 4, was adopted
July 4, 2001, from Greater Ohio Boxer Rescue.
They are all lots of fun and provide us with daily entertainment
and laughs!
